Six Going on Sixteen

A Sneak Peek Inside Wifey's House

My youngest child is turning 6 today. She’s 6 going on 16. At least that’s what it feels like. Dora’s pretty much a done deal, now we’ve entered the land of Hannah Montana, High School Musical and The Jonas Brothers. Gasp! While I’m conscious of not letting her rush things – kids seem to grow up too fast these days – she’s officially left toddlerville and has cruised quickly into to kid-land.

Just like with Miles I could go on and on about how wonderful, smart, beautiful, funny, and special she is, but I won’t. Instead, I’ll share some pictures.

Milan's birth day!

Little girl celebrating year number one...

Milan is precious! As a mom I can definitely empathize with you. I hope she has a wonderful Birthday!

My first born daughter just turned thirteen June 5th and I'm still adjusting. I'm mommy to four so she's followed by an 11 year old brother, 9 year old sister and my youngest son is seventeen months old. They grow so fast! Let's cherish every moment and preserve memories. (Sigh)

Sending Happy Birthday thoughts from Pensacola, FL. Even my 16 and 13 are into Hannah Montana, the Jonas Brothers and just about everything Disney. They do grow up fast, embrace the moments and the little things.

She is adorable. Happy Birthday to her. Time does fly. My 10 month old is walking and all I could think of was how small he was when he was born. My 13 year old is practically a grown man (his voice is deeper than my husband). My how the time fly.

Happy Birthday to your Princess! You and your hubby have beautiful children but that should be of no suprise...looks like good genes run in the family. :-)

You're right, they do grow up too fast! Thankfully, our dd (11) never took to Hannah, The Jonas Brothers, etc. she's a Webkinz girl. :-)

Hugs to You Wifey ~ Sandy

She's beautiful, sweetie! Oh my. I hate to say it, but you may very well have some trouble on your hands when it comes to dating. :)

I simply adored the picture of the two of you together. Lovely!

Just came across your blog...and indeed your daughter is beautiful. I know exactly what you mean about kids growing up too quickly these days...and the media influences that push them in that direction. As a teacher and a mom, it worries me, though. I wrote a recent article about it Rethinking Schools and started a blog to help protect and promote imaginative play. Do you worry about it, too?
