Are You Maximizing Your Time?
Wednesday, July 7, 2010
As many of you may know I’m training for a marathon. Yes – gasp, 26.2 miles (can’t forget the .2). My kids think this is “really awesome” as long as it doesn’t disrupt their daily lives. Humph. That often boots my to-do list right out the door leaving me here …
How about you? Are you maximizing your time? What tricks do you use to get your things done? Time-cravin’ mamas want to know.

Good job girl!!! Maximize that time!!! And you CANNOT forget the .2 - I think it is the hardest of the 26.2!!! *fist bump*
Thanks, Jenny! Got to work it when I can work it! *fist bump back at ya!*
You're training for a marathon - yo go Wifey!! That's on my bucket list.
Impressed that you managed to squeeze in some speed training while your daughter was at tennis lesson. I wish I was as motivated as you!
Way to go! I maximized my time on vacation by including my son and husband in workouts (like hiking and walk/running to the park).
GO YOU!
Im cheering you on Wifey whist muttering like the misfit I am 'better you than me.'

I wake up at 5am so I can get in a 3 mile walk before they wake up. Once they wake up I'm moving a mile a minute cooking, cleaning, wiping up spills, etc. So I guess I get a double dose of excercise each day!
This is something I struggle with on a daily basis. I feel like I LITERALLY have no time to workout. There's always something that MUST get done. Between my day job, Blogalicious, the kids, dinnertime, bathtime and sleeping - when on Earth am I supposed to work out? I'm exhausted as it is - waking up at 5am is just NOT gonna happen.
Help!?
GOOD FOR YOU!!!! Not only being a bad ass wifey and training for a MARATHON (hello, what??) but also filming yourself post run. Amazing!

I'm usually in the 5 am workout crew, so that I can get it done before the girls wake up, but with a new baby, I have found it almost impossible. My husband's schedule recently changed and it has forced me to be flexible with my workout. I walked with the baby in the stroller, at the park, with my goal being to burn the same number of calories that I do in the gym; 500. My other 3 are away at Grandma's this week, so next week I'm going to have to be at the gym by 6 if I want to workout. The gym's childcare will take the baby at 3 months (next week), but the idea of taking 4 children to the gym overwhelms me!!! (but I said the same thing about 3)
Great feedback, Ladies! Loving the positive vibes and good tips! It's hard but we've got to find a way to make it happen. I never thought I'd be up early either but I'm on a mission.
@Justice we should chat! We're going to figure it out!
@Fit40four My hats off to you. 4 kids and workin' it out. That's what it's all about!
