A Sneak Peek Inside Wifey's House
My son, Miles, is turning 8 years old tomorrow and that amazes me.
He’s not a baby anymore. He’s moved out of the land of Tonka Trucks and Spider-man underwear into 3-on-3 basketball games with his “boys” and wears size six sneakers (yikes – no more inexpensive “kicks” for him). I almost fell out when his baseball coach told me I had to buy him a jockstrap and cup to play this year – gasp!
Wow. My baby is growing up. I could bore you all with the typical mom birthday rant – "he’s the best kid ever!" – and even though he is (the best kid ever) I won’t go there. Instead I’ll share some pictures.

I can't believe it's been eight years since Baby Miles made his debut! He was such a precious baby and has grown into such a hansome, sweet, intelligent and funny young boy. It's such a joy to celebrate him - and kudos to you Wifey for being such a wonderful mom!
He is a charmer, I can tell! If you still have that baby blanket from the first picture it is worth a fortune on Ebay ;) from the Carter's John Lennon line. I hate to admit it but I sold a bunch of stuff from that line on Ebay a few years ago. A friend had a little plastic diaper bag that sold for $85 dollars --- I've got the pictures to remember.... lol
see... now you know I'm not just gooffy I'm also a cheap opportunist ;)

My "baby" will be 8 in August. I think I am going to demand a recount.
My son just turned 10 a couple of months ago. It makes me sad to know he will be "grown" in 10 more years. I dont even feel like i've taught him 1/2 of what he needs to know. Oh dont you wish time would stand still for a little while?
WOW! I can't believe that time has flown by so fast. He is quite a joy, and handsome too! Never feel bad about "ranting" about a great child. It's refreshing to hear wonderful things about children. Great job to you & Hubby!

LOVE LOVE LOVE what a handsome man he is!!! My oldest will be 8 in July and it seems like yesterday doesn't it? Kind of sad for us mommies...but sooo proud of those big boys...and YEAH (the jock thing...for real..I just about blushed when I had to buy one)!

Yes how special. My daughter just turned 16 on yesterday and I was happy because she was happy. My son is 13 and he's just as content as a 13 year old should be. To see an 8 year old brings back so much joy. Enjoy it.
He is just the cutest! You are making want to go home and love on my little man. They grow up so quickly. He's about to be 10 months on Thursday.
